Does anyone know of a course that you can do preferably at night school relating to the marine industry i.e engineering or boat building etc? Ideally near the South Coast area.

Thanks

West Kent College do a whole raft of stuff. Not tried them myself yet, thinking of doing my BML with them.

Did your friend do his course in the evenings. Its my partner thats inerested but my Dad and my Grandad's all did night school and although they enjoyed the learning and experience aspect, they all had a downer on doing a full days work and then going off to 'school'. This is what Craig would have to do and he is already a marine engineer doing physical jobs and i wonder if it'll all be too much for him!?

No,
He was semi retired & he went full time.
he did say that there are very limited spaces & I know he had to wait some time for a place.

Having done some night school work I agree that it is very difficult to combine
with a day job, & that was only for a short theory navigation course.

It is very hands on but the satisfaction at the end is what its all about, I would love to go on a course myself but.... Time!!!!!!!!
