So checked tides high at 3.am inshore forecast
The Wash to North Foreland.

24 hour forecast:
Wind: east 2 or 3 increasing south 3 or 4.
Weather: patchy rain or drizzle with local mist patches.
Visibility: moderate.
Sea State: slight.
Outlook for the following 24 hours:
Wind: south 3 or 4 increasing 4 or 5 then veer west before easing south 3 or 4.
Weather: rain turning more persistent before clearing then fair.
Visibility: good to moderate.
Sea State: slight.
That'll do for me I'm going fishing on the tug
Just got to check charts to see if there's a handy wreck some where near to
Wells Next The Sea
So if any one wants to come along your welcome , bring your own rod grub .
Back in for afternoon's tide .

Can,t make it Mick as work on Fridays...boo hooo.
Tope can be had at Brancaster Road, just off scolt head,go to Fairway and do a Port turn stay on 53n until41mins east,the road is then to the north.Its shallow on the way 0.8 meters above chart datum around the "BRIDGIRDLE".Alternatively turn to starboard and head for the deep water off blakney for ray.You might get lucy and get some codling.

I am sure it was further out than than that. Saw it on the telly with John Wilson. Some guy out of Wells or Cromer took him out for the day. Impressive catches.

watched the same program,you could see Pine trees inthe background and the water was only 6meters.They used to have Tope fishing compitions in Hunstanton,the catches in those days were terrific,hope to get one or two when the projects finished in the spring,
