I just don't need the hassle the dutch are giving boat owners

Just how many boat owners are the Dutch giving hassle to?

We sail our British Registered/Red Ensigned boat in Dutch waters and don't get hassled. Over the last couple of weekend trips we have seen plenty of British Registered boats, seemingly quite happy to be in Dutch waters.

If this really is a problem, then I am eager to hear of other boat owners who have been "hassled", because I think this is a bizzare, one off, for which we don't know what really went on.

It seems this may well have been a minority case if not a one-off but in my opinion even once is too much. At best this is the over-zealous application of the rule book in the absence of common sense. Gwylan is to be commended for bringing this to our attention because, one-off or not it could have been any one of us.

Now, at least we all have more information and can be prepared if we should get singled out for attention.
