I don't care how nice the colours are!!
On 23rd Dcember, the repair work was finally carried out on my engine following a Year of struggle to get the thing running properly. Ever since then, what with Xmas, the weather and tides, I've been uinable to get the bl**dy thing out to try it.
Last window of opportunity was new Years day when I couldn't even safely untie the bl**dy thing in the 50knot gusts, next window in the weather is this afternoon (I'm working)
Next chance is Sunday afternoon at which point Armageddon is due to hit.
AAAAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!

Based on Sunday being the worst of the weekend and looking out of my window now, I'm gonna stay in bed all day tomorrow!
It's tipping down here and sideways rain at that! Not even the dogs want to go out!
Roll on summer, or at least February when I'm on holiday!

the way I look at this "weather", is that it could be WORSE !!!!!.......it could be mid summer, T.M. booked into mercury for two months !!!!...at least boat is safe in the garden on trailer virtually forgotten about in this gale, the bulk of the hull has partially protected my fence!!!...hohum ............... is it summer YET ?????......
