At least the new generation anchors don’t need a this way up sticker...they are self righting

Just what I thought, an apprentice piece.

It’s replacing a £40 Delta copy, but it looks like it has come from the same back street metal shop.

Bought from a reputable uk chandler with a big online presence so it should be legit not a fake.

I have had a Delta from the same company and (despite it’s uselessness as a means to stop a boat) is perfectly manufactured

From the chandlers website, no holes near the tip or at the base of the shank.

Perhaps the well made Epsilons are made under license by Lewmar and the rough ones by someone else....so still genuine

Mine has Lewmar embossed on the other side of the Shank and the sellers stock sticker saying Lewmar Epsilon

Same, bear’s arse roughness on my Epsilon. Worth noting that there’s no rust despite its questionable finish.

Seems to work and counting down the days until March so I can get the thing used again.

Half the price of Rocna, etc.

If its the galvanising that is rough then it will wear of, if you use it. So if its drips of gal - stop fretting.

I wouldn't have believed an anchor could be damaged in the post but this was sent to me in 2017. It says a lot about both the quality of the anchor and the quality of Hermes delivery.

Ironically it was £20 which turned out to be exactly the same as a Lewmar one from the Chandler 400m from my back door which was visibly better constructed.
