Any improvement on today would be good, howling winds right up the back passage and white horses chasing all over the place. Freezing cold too, so not overly comfortable even down below

Don't say that. I struggled to get some paint on the boat in the last three days and now I have to go away for a week! Launch date is looming close and there's loads to do and no time........

You wouldn't get any paint on over here in East Kent today, we have a howling freezing nor-easter, the paint would blow off your brush before you could slap it on.
Typical BBC weather forecast last night..."It will be a lovely warm sunny spring day, but may be a little cooler along the coast". Yeah, right.
