New water toy

Doesn't look powerful enough to me - more like the Seadoo than the Seabob.
A few years ago, I had one of the Seadoo ones - complete waste of time.
But from what I've seen, the Seabob is leagues different.

I can confirm that Seadoos are pretty useless at pulling fat bastards through the water. However with 2 albeit smaller props maybe this thing has a bit more power than a Seadoo and it seems a bit lighter too which is a bonus

Mcanderson, if youre buying one, I'm certainly interested in having one myself so maybe we can get a SoF quantity discount

I showed M last night and she just said hmmmm.

Ponel in Beaulieu are selling them and when I am down next I'm going to go and have a look and see if they have a test drive model.

I bought 2 of these at Dusseldorf last year - they are great fun.

I bought them for my kids who previously had Seadoos, they are more powerful but the huge benefit is the size. The kid's use them on the boat and then take them back home for the pool and also down to the beach. They will pull me (87kg !) but slowly, perfect for snorkeling but obviously a waste of time if your looking for the thrill of a seabob.

They are not a comparable product to a Seabob - small vs large, 6kg vs 34 kg, 5km/h vs 20 km/h, €600 vs €12,000
