New Swale wreck

When I was on the local CG we had several shouts to tow people off the end of the causeway on the mainland side at Harty (which is where these photos are taken). I was on a mooring there a week ago waiting for the tide and had high hopes of a VW Polo that came down to the end while we were there, but disappointingly he managed to drive back to safety after a lot of revving and wheel spinning.

The flashy 2001 motor was then submerged by the water at high tide as the car's lights and alarm were seen and heard as the car slowly went under water.
It was an Old Nail

I'm assuming the same journalists that refer to 13 year old low spec 3 Series bimmers as 'flashy' also refer to those £300 ebay boats favoured by Captain Calamities worldwide as 'luxury yachts'

Pretty typical of KM journalists. Unfortunately KM have a near monopoly of the Kent papers. Some of their front-page 'stories' are nearly as accurate and newsworthy as those in the Sunday Sport...
