The sales blurb says

"This latest model has a totally new look for the brand, with the concept of 'one level living'. The saloon and galley are at the same level as the cockpit, meaning whoever is in charge of the galley can keep in touch with the helm and see what is going on without any difficulty"

How does that work then?

Looks a bit motorboatish. All it needs is a fly bridge!

Just a bit of del boy bling on the captain and a couple of bikini clad totty drapped over the front and the owner could become an honorary moboer. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well it would wouldn't it, its an Elan, so it is going to look different to anything previously designed as a Moody.
The only thing that is the same is the name.
Or am I being picky!

Not picky, just wrong. Premier own the brand and commissioned Bill Dixon to design this boat, having designed the Moody range for the past 20 years or so. So regardless of the builder, it is still a Moody - but that doesnt mean I like it !!

I think we English are just too conservative. It's a very bold move, I applaud it and I'm sure it will appeal to some types of people.

Personally I think the french are much more on the ball in accepting good, but new/different designs. My plywood, multi-chined twin keel RM is another odd-ball for the standard English design acceptance standard, but boy does it work and it's great fun - even my dad has fallen for it!

It shares the deck saloon and open transom with the new Moody as well.....

Well this is, I think, the 3rd time I have pointed this out, just in case y'all missed it the last time, Its nothing new, or original, its a relaunch of the late 90's Dufour 43 Atoll.... they also did a 50 foot version.

Sold a few into charter in the med and caribean, sort of a monohull Catamaran....

Dufour Atoll 43 circa 1999.

Why they are pumping this as something fabulous in bizarre.....

THEY HAVNT BROKEN THE MOLD, THEY PICKED IT UP OUT OF DUFOURS SKIP!!!

I agree it looks very comfortable for basking in a mediterranean bay, but don't the MCA have charter coding rules that say the companionway must be raised above the level of the cockpit ?

Why have a 45ft yacht if you don't want to do some serious sailing?javascript:void(0)

Looks like a block of flats on the water to me, but it will most probably appeal to the ex mobo who will just love sailing in the marina...especially that patio door system, nice feature.. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
