This vessel has a Yanmar 40hp 3 cylinder engine and the Jabsco water pump is fitted in such a manner as to make inspection / replacement very difficult. Has anyone overcome this problem.

It's a feature of Moodys. I have a 36CC and access to the engine is almost impossible. Adjusting the alternator belt means working by feel alone, I would hate to have to replace the belt at sea.

We have had a hatch cut in the lazerette on our 37 to allow access to water pump, lift pump etc - Don't Know how you'd manage with a walk through though, if that's what you have. . .

Thanks melos.
We did that in our 34, but if I tried to cut holes in our fancy casetorium I would be history.
Thanks for interest.
