Re: yes but...

Hum, yep! thought of that. Forum Users Cruising Klub Offshore Flotilla Forum. Hows that. After every cruise, the wright up could include the important things. Like who got pissed the quickest on what, who was the total pratt that fell in the drink caption competition. Who got right up the nose of the french harbour master the quickest. Who wrecked what restaraunt. Non of this "it was a pleasant morning the sun shining as wes set of from lymington" stuff!

OK, to hell with it. Unbolt it and we'll use it as an anchor!

So what do you think happened...Alan Harper and Jake Kavanah got together and decided to get two different people to write two different articles about ruggedised laptops in two different issues of two different magazines???

And do you think that the editors of all EMAP's bike magazines get together to discuss the contents of the next issue in order to avoid any crossover? No, they just get on and do the best job they can, aiming their editorial content at their niche in the market and hoping that what they are doing will be more appealing to more people than what the opposition is doing. The fact that you only buy one car magazine and one bike magazine means that you don't get to see the crossover that occurs in competing titles. It happens in all areas of publishing, and you either accept a certain amount of crossover, or you decide which magazine you like best and buy that.

Or you spend an hour browsing the motorboat magazines in Smiths and then buy a copy of Razzle (the preferred option).
