I would like new cockpit cushions, Please can somebody recommend an upholster local to the Hamble as I understand they would need to visit, rather than use the old ones as templates?

Thanks in advance.

Why not try Fibratrim who are in the Factory with Sealine. Go through Nick Seabridge @ Seabridge Marine as he has the contacts there.

Hi spottydog
we are allso looking for new cushions, but on east coast ,made mistake of showing swmbo photo's of some of the other boats on hear, had one price so far,£910.00 for cockpit area £947.00 for flybridge all plus vat, this was for sunbrella or similar as recommended on hear, don't know if this any help, missed your reply last time, and yes have to agree, had our f43 for one year and completly happy with it,looked at a f46,very nice but could not justify extra cost for the extra space.just to add prices include all new foam . merlyn

I'm not able to recommend a supplier on S Coast but a few quick thoughts: (a) I 100% agree with Splosh that the OEM supplier is the place to start - if you can get the OEM supplier who makes from the orignal patterns you'll have less risk of a bad fit. (b) I have had cushions made without the supplier visiting the boat; mastertrim in Cannock will just copy the old ones, for example (c) if you go for sunbrella make sure to get sunbrella plus, not sunbrella. Sunbrella plus has a vinyl layer glued on the reverse side to make it waterproof. I have some sunb+ offcuts and can post swatch to anyone who pms an address (I have done to several forumites, so my swatch stock is shrinking, but I have a couple of square feet left :) )

Thanks for the advice guys, will do phoning around, on Monday.
Just a quick question, when the upholster makes from the old cushions,
has the fit been good ?
Cheers

Yo'd think they would be as good, and it isn't rocket science to measure them well, but the one time I did it the fit was poor. I used Mastertrim and gave them my old cushions complete with foam inside. The new ones were kinda 3% smaller all round. Looked like they'd shrunk. So from then on I sourced from Fairline's OEM supplier who makes eveything perfectly

Hi jfm
Thanks for that info, it was what I suspected, may be the case.
Cheers
