New boat

Jez, very nice, I like it, just don't go building anything bigger or I may have to knobble you.......OK!

For those that might have some adverse comments I'd wait till you see it in the flesh, vvvvvvvvvvvv nice indeed and full of lovely practical touches. The killer blow though....... I have had a sneak idea of the retail......and I can't understand how the heck they are making any money, its the price of something the next size down yet the quality is there for sure. I have nothing to do with Jez or the brand but on first impressions I could see the prices jumping once the first seasons production is sold, see it all the time with new brands kind of loss leader type thing to get the name established, flip I am half tempted myself as a nice runaround for when I am back on the IOM /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif diya think they would mind if I stuck a certain italian badge on the side /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

[/ QUOTE ] Sorry to piss on your parade, but I think it's missing something in the joined-up-styling department. Way too much freeboard.
It looks like a Korean take on a Japanese copy of a nice boat. Far too much "styling" which will date very quickly.

Looks good!
Nice touch re the guard rails mounted outboard
Coupla queries tho?
Radar arch.... I love to drive/helm standing up rather than sitting down and the arch looks as though it would be right in the eye-line when looking astern. I realise its low to make it look sleeker , but its one thing that really bugs me about later Fairlines.
Side deck access.... nice steps up from the bathing platform , but can you get there directly from the cockpit without limbo'ing under the arch? From the looks of it I wouldnt like to try to get up to the pointy end in any swell (when anchoring for example)

Not criticism , but observations based on use.
Best of luck with the venture!

Could be a problem when berthing against a sheer wall/large boat/piling etc. Or do you need guard rail fenders?

To be honest I din't notice, but I didn't do much driving. Will check it out next time I do

Know what you mean. The pictures don't show it, but there is a step behind the helm seat to allow you out over the side screen to starboard very easily, and without stepping on any fabric.

There is a large rubbing strake on the hull joint which is the widest part of the boat (including the rails).

Though they are close and if you were moored on a wall in a swell you might want to think about some protection

Good thinking! nice practical touch.
What about getting onto the bathing platform from alongside?
