Z!ppy has one of these, and took me over to the Isle of Wight last week. It was brilliant. 40kn flat out and a comfortable 30kn cruising. Hope this goes well for you.
what was your thoughts on the cabin version? Looking at the prices they have gone up for second hand . used to be sub £100K now appear to mostly be over £100K

I think it is a cracking day boat with the option of an overnight. No compromise with it’s day boat attributes from the cabin.

Our new boat was delivered to menorca yesterday, an axopar 28 t-top with aft cabin and mercury 300hp verado.

Hopefully picking it up in mallorca next week.

Quick pics pre- pdi for anyone interested.

Great boat Julian.

I had one in the Med until last year (similar spec to yours).

It does everything a day boat should - I’m sure you‘ll enjoy it ?

Congratulations! looks great and sure you are going to love it!

As you know, we have a 28 cabin and of all the boats we have had, its the one we have used most, felt most comfortable in and "loved" the most. ts so easy to single hand, space for an overnight if needed, perfect day boat and handles everything we have thrown at it without any issues.

Taken friends out who are surprised about the space in the cabin, surprised about the performance with the 300, surprised about the handling and surprised about the fact you can close the doors and roof when the weather turns and run home without any drama or wet clothes!

I keep looking at a 37 because we all want to "trade up" but i cant see the point, for us, living with the boat at the end of the garden and being mainly day boaters, the 28 AC is the perfect boat for us and i am sure for you in the med the TT will the perfect day boat for you!

Don't forget some nice pictures to remind us what the sunshine is like!

very interesting feed back on your ownership. The 37 is ideally what I was looking for but now think for 2 people the 28 cabin is the way to go in the UK.
do you have any idea of due usage ? for example a run down to the Needles and back what sort of consumption ?

Picked the new boat up today, its very nice.

Only went for a quick 30 minute spin as spent most of the day prepping the boat, ie carting all the stuff from the old boat to the new, getting used to where everything is on the new boat.

Merc v8 outboard is very quiet( unless you switch on the sports exhaust), I like the docking mode that makes the throttle much less sensitive.

Boat runs very flat, no slamming yet, but it wasn't too rough out.

Like the simrad mfd/plotter.

Will get a full day out on it tomorrow.

ian just on your question if economy, we did 115 miles today and used 180 l so that’s about 1.56 L per mile. Punching tide in both directions and running between 26 and 30 kts..

hope you enjoy the new boat Julian. totally impressed with ours today, Longest day by far today and loved every minute.

First proper day out today..

All was fine except one of the supports for the bow sunshade appears to be missing os we had to rig something up using a boat hook as the support.

I also have a mysterious key and I don't know what it's for, wondering if any other axopar owners can shed some light on it.

I have the following

-engine ignition key
-toilet door lock key
-cabin lock key
- mystery key-it's not a blade type key, it's a circular key kind of like to one's used in steering wheel locks in cars, any ideas?
