The Batteries on my Colvic Sailer are showing their age & like me, can't keep it up for long. Any recommendations as to the best type, make, supplier at the best price. I suspect that I will need 2 X 110Ah or thereabouts. I only have a standard Alternator with no fancy gizmo's to charge them & want to run all the boats general electrics plus start the engine.

Exeter batteries, I got mine very good value. Marsh barton trading estate I think. Not a lot of use unless you're down that way.

Don't know where you are in Hampshire but I got a 110Ah leisure rated battery at Fairweather Marine in Fareham for £47.00

Fit standard truck batteries designed for tail lift operations.

Stirling or Adverc or someone are recommending these (on their web site) as a cost effective solution.

I paid £70 for 130 aH from a truck battery specialist.
