Wifey is on a mega spending spree right now - just finishing a new designer kitchen, a third!! house and then bathrooms, and then sitting room and then............???? She says its ok, considering the money I have spent am spending on my boating so what can I counter it with?? Give in of course /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Go to IKEA they have a very good eletrically controlled bed and you have achoice of matress for a 10th of the price of the above, the mechanism seems bullet proof, if think the mechnism with slats is only £150 and when you think about it they really shouldn't cost more than this

IKEA yeah right. Wil lprob get the bed in a flat pack with half the screws missing! I would rather buy from a reputable dealer who I can shout at if it goes wrong rather than a n automated answering service that you have to get even angrier with.

Errr you'll find that IKEA QA systems are second to none, I have NEVER been short dealt a screw or a bolt in 15 years of fitting out houses with their stuff and have never had to return anything but from what I hear they swap straight away no questions asked...

Not a problem as far as I am concerned. Only once had to return and easy peasy swapsies.

In fact - wish we had IKEA on the IoM. Would make new house purchase and furnishing a lot easier and cheaper.
