So, the cooling issue was nothing more than a calorifier pipe, which took an hour to find and under fifteen minutes to fix... (sigh...)

Now I have three working pantograph wipers, thanks to extensive dremelling and some ingenious bodges, er fixes due to nothing going quite as planned, my VHF linked to the Nav unit so it displays the co-ordinates automatically, and I found the speedo function at the same time, which is good as the boat one is an 'Ex speedo' (Deceased, no longer a speedo etc...)

The bilges are clean and dry (for now) fenders re-hung on new lines, which are thick enough to be gripped by the little plastic hangar thingys, throttle levers lubed, so much nicer to use, and the canopy cleaned and proofed.

The autopilot still doesn't work, but it's an old Cetrek 701, so probably never did, and does it need to be linked to the Nav unit to work? the original Decca was scrapped, as it was obsolete, and I' not sure it its compatible with a Lowrance unit!

Still, all I need to do now is give her a final clean, and I'm happy enough to hit the Medway in a month or two.

I hope by the end of the season to have every little bit working, but it's going to take a little more time... :p

The Cetrek was a great unit in its day. I don't recall it having to be linked to the Nav unit but it's over 30 years since I used one. As I recall you dialed up the course.

There is a chap in Molesey that can service Cetrek Autopilots, he has all the circuit diagrams and fixed mine.

He would visit at Bray.

Will pm you his details.

Thanks for nothing, now he will be able to find his way round here so much easier !

Autopilot sorted, it was me not reading the manual properly! I needed to wait for the auto compass to settle before flicking the switch! Doh...

Also fixed the dead starboard tachometer which was a wire pulled off by one of the service engineers, very happy as it used to work fine before the service! I found it by accident, whilst cleaning and lacquering the engines, dunno how I missed it tbh...

Bilges clean (well some of them!) and hardy stuff stowed in dry areas. Amazing how much stowage the Scand has, it's full of little hidden hatches, some are vast!

Finally boat checked and seaworthy for the Limehouse trip next week. Phew!
