Information please on the new Navtex Freq that broadcasts the inshore forecast. I understand that a conversion Antenna is available, can this feed down the same cable? My present receiver is a Navtex Pro (5yrs old)

Contact NASA. I have the same problem but I'm told you can buy a second antenna with a changeover switch of some sort. I'd still like to know why they're selling the single frequency sets when the bet info is on 490 not 512!

I suppose the opinion of which information is better is personal, and 490 will not help you in France unless you speak French.

You can buy the 490 aerial from www.ybw-marine-store.com, click on this link to view

If the line's broken and doesn't work, click find on the marine store site and type 490. The price is £59.00 inc. vat. There will shortly be a dual antenna model, that is one antenna two frequencies but it will still be necessary to choose which broadcast to receive, you cannot have both at the same time.

The 490 retro fit and switch box will work with any Target Navtex regardless of age.
