We are off to Plymouth in a few minutes. Have not seen the boat for a couple of months and no other available time to go till Christmas. Less I can coax Long John down to change the anodes on the props. (Hint)

Anyway the question is this.

Weather forcast says East then South. Sea state. Rough, Very Rough or High.

Now I was wondering what would be the best approch for Salcolmbe. Would it be better to be on the fly bridge or down below with a cup of tea. And what speed would the pannel recommend.

I'd probably recommend approaching Salcombe from underwater in a southerly f7/8. In fact you probably won't have a choice.

PS Salcombe RNLI are not on watch today, they're having their annual p**s up.

Anyway good luck.

Is this a joke? Where is the voyage from and to? Why is the boat not being prepared for sea, after no maintenance for a longish period?

Haydn, you must be bloody joking on both counts!!

Was out yesterday, seas lovely and flat and plenty of sun, no diving as water looked like pea soup. Today it's wet and windy, suggest you stay in Plymouth, I'll be down in a few days to sample a pint or two in the Borringdon. Forecast for the week is awful.

PS why don't you ever answer your phone or better still get an answering machine.
