Cheeky bastid. I guess Sgeir will be back online over the weekend at some point, and will deliver all the details, but when I last saw Shard, she was still afloat opposite Southern Comfort, and Sgeir was heading for Charlie's Bar. Alone. He is a local, though.
We celebrated the successful flotage with smoked salmon sandwiches and imported beer. Verry naice.

Yup, it's gradually getting into shape. Sails collected from Queensferry today, so being fitted tomorrow. Very grateful for Superstrath's support, particularly seeing as Madame Sgeir decided to a runner to Arbroath for the day.
Now here's a question for the panel: against all expectations, the engine fired up first time. Is this a good or bad omen?
Also, going to re-paint the cockpit and deck, using anti-slip paint as appropriate. I've heard the rumours, but has anyone actually used Sandtex as a substitute for expensive chandlery stuff? Does it do the job?
