One thing I hate is the led lighting goes out on a timer its a real pain in the lard!

Gosh this is a very old thread on the Nasa battery monitor. Many others have passed this way since 2009.

Automatically turning off the illumination I guess to save battery power. If installed as instructed the BM1 is always on and it would quite easy to forget to turn the illumination off .

Not the sort of thing one watches continuously I'd have thought so no need for the illumination to stay on much longer than it takes to read it

It is nice when one lives aboard and relaxed on the lounge at night watching TV to see how your batteys are going ??? Is it not called a Battery monitor??
