Naked Germans

Can anyone explain why there are so many of them?
Currently sailing in Croatia and all the nice bays and beaches are visually polluted by them.
I do wish they would keep their clothes on.

There are nude parks in the centre of cities like Berlin. The Germans also don'tvwear swim siuts in the sauna, (for hygiene).

I think it was worse when it was Yugoslavia. I particularly remember a pair of large bare bottoms hanging over the side of a sailing dinghy; "sitting out" indeed!

I didn't know about naturists in Berlin, but I haven't been there since about the time of the fall of the wall, and it wasn't the sort of thing I was looking for.

Don't understand the point about hygiene, but then I probably don't want the explanation either...

We sailed in to a bay in an uninhabited Greek island and a naked German couple were camping there, they get everywhere. What we found in Croatia was the German flagged motor boats that come down by road for the summer don't know COLREGS, we got so fed up we tried to ram them.

Hygiene? How does that work then? If they keep on there trunks they will sweat some of their own body fluids into them. Surely they wash them and have a shower at some point. On the other hand if they lay their fat arses on the benches and should drop a wet one everyone else gets to share their body fluids (and worse)

Nudity isn't the norm in most public swimming pools in Germany but entering the sauna in your wet trunks is frowned upon. They're not very good at absorbing sweat either. You're actually supposed to sit on your towel (a separate large sauna towel). You'll often see signs saying "kein schweiss auf's holz!" (No sweat on the wood).
Nobody stops you from covering yourself with your towel though.

You wouldn't be complaining if you'd found the beaches with the Swedes and Finns.....

My other half has lived and worked in Berlin for many years, she would like to know where there are nude parks! In Her opinion your statement is not true. There certainly are beaches on the coast marked FKK specifically for people who want to go nude.
