Outside a broken Leisure Centre?
Fairline Phantom 46. The mainsail was one Volvo Diesel and the spinnaker was another Volvo Diesel. That looks impressively fast !.....did you have your spinnaker up ?
Helensburgh.close up it is very smelly.
I’m conducting some YM power exams round there in two weeks time! I’ll check on the smell as I don’t remember it being smelly when we had our boat moored nearby.Helensburgh.close up it is very smelly.

Can't repeat its nickname on here! The Drumfork club used to be ok.
Perhaps I never sailed that close… I remember the sight of it well though.Seagull poo.
It was always the seaweed when the tide went out and the multiple run-offs from the houses along the sea front, thnkfully that has been cleaned up nowSeagull poo.

Light boat with two VP 350hp and duoprop outdrives, she has more than a bit of go in her, she will top out at about 40 knots. Was doing around 18 - 19 knots at 2000rpm. very manoeuvrable and quick to respond, handles quite different than the Ocean 37.That looks like a fun boat !
Have a great holiday over thereThat’s something I’ll need to think about if/when we get a new boat and go to Europe. I did the Powerboat one years ago when I got the Bayliner but it was in a rib, would need to find something a bit like that.
Mind you, it was quite laughable watching the LeBoat guy giving the ‘training’ to a young Dutch couple who got their boat just before us today. Did even less with us as we are ‘experienced’ And I then zigzagged away as the thing is so slow to respond. The wife took to it very well though, the gentle touch!
Sounds a bit like mine although we are ‘only’ 220hp each and she hits about 36 but you can see the fuel gauges plummet at that speed. This little canal boat is so different with a single 40hp Nanni shaft drive, takes forever to get up to speed and to respond to the wheel. I’m guessing the Brooms will be somewhere in between. Seen two old Brooms today already, a 35 and a big one which I think was a Monarch but had no badging.Light boat with two VP 350hp and duoprop outdrives, she has more than a bit of go in her, she will top out at about 40 knots. Started off good with nice weather today, stopped at Utrecht to have dinner with wife’s sister and husband and they are staying onboard to Gouda.Have a great holiday over there
There were supposed to be four of us on the course but only two of us turned up, so we got plenty of helm time today
Oh, by the way, I downloaded that Waterkaraten app you recommended, it really is a lovely, well designed app and much better than relying on LeBoat’s paper map.Have a great holiday over there![]()
