Wish some of my night sails had been that light !
Vis was down to about 200 - 300 meters Camera was on night vision, looks a lot brighter than it actually was.
We sailed to Loch Goil, took us about 1 hour at 20knots, anchored in the bay off the castle and had dinner while it got dark, then the clouds lowered, took us about 2 hours to get back, Radar and AIS was very handy.
Where did that warship go....
Was a good exercise, quite enjoyed it, though picking up the beacons and buoys through the mist was challenging at some points.

Tough day…today we moved to our winter berth…only my thrusters both failed…berthed stern to Med style with a single engine and a light cross breeze …then I put in all my winter mooring kit, strong springs and rope…this is what comfort food looks like…

I’m on a protein kick to get the strength up for walking this afternoon. Too many carbs in yours.

Nothing nautical or foodie, just a day deep in a silent Welsh Wood watching the leaves fall. Tarp set as a wind break from the blustery South Westerly cutting through the woodland.

The falling leaves have different sounds. Ash fall when still quite green, they make a whispering sound and land softly. Field Maple are dry, brown and curly before they drop and clatter down through the branches like Tiles off a roof..☺️
