Yes, it is very tranquil too. The front of the house is on a street that is quite close to the main street but not much traffic.
The other house I looked at today had terrace with a great view but not much shade. Another to see Monday but the first is so perfect - fully furnished and ready to go. I also met the lady who looks after it for the current owners and she is lovely. She was cleaning as today was a changeover day and was very thorough. She is delighted that I would be living in it over the winter.

It's actually Pézenas rather than Laurens but close, A lovely Medieval centre.Nice place - congratulations.
Laurens is a great area.
Should you move the boat to Cap d'Agde, in Summer you should allow 1H to 1H15 to get to the boat.
From Bezier to Cap d'Agde it will be start/stop bumper to bumper traffic early AM and late afternoon.
SARL rather than SCI??It's actually Pézenas rather than Laurens but close, A lovely Medieval centre.
I've committed to the boat this morning and meeting with broker and current owner this afternoon. Unless the surveyor (Wed or Thurs) finds something drastically wrong, it's mine.
My lawyer friend has found it is easier to set up a new SARL to buy the house rather than buy the existing one so he's doing that with me and my two sons as shareholders. This will take about 2 weeks.
Hmm, I don't know. Didn't know such a thing existed, I just assumed a SARL because the existing arrangement is one but the email just mentions "new company" without specifying. I'll give him a call.SARL rather than SCI??
I was asking as SCI is more common for a company which owns and manages real estate.Hmm, I don't know. Didn't know such a thing existed, I just assumed a SARL because the existing arrangement is one but the email just mentions "new company" without specifying. I'll give him a call.

I do not know what the pros/cons are.
Talked with my lawyer man and he thinks a SARL is the best option particularly as the house has been run by one already.I was asking as SCI is more common for a company which owns and manages real estate.
I do not know what the pros/cons are.
One thing to consider is that it is expensive to take money out of one company to put into another.
I.e. if you already have a company in relationship to real estate, it might be a bad idea to create another.
With one company you can use the profits from one property to invest in another one to bring it up to scratch without having to pay and company income tax, nor any personal income tax on dividends when you take the money out of the company to put into the other.
The Differences Between SCI and SARL - Buy Property in FranceI still don't.
Rabbit food on the side instead of mushy peas?
