My story is going to appear in 'Latest YBW News' panel.

I'm shagged out. All dunlin king these terrible puns together. My British Seagull is out of petrel. I'll dream of a long nightingale force winds.

If you were here I'd throstle you for that. Now you'll have to excuse me - I'm going round to a friend's workshop to chaffinch a couple of spanners.

Er, so why was it here? (Unless because a diver...)

Great northerns are divers, but divers aren't necessarily great northerns. They can also be black-throated, hence Great Northern? On the other hand, the Diver was a North British, not a Great Northern (Great Northern was a Great Northern, obviously), though later the Great Northern and the North British both became London and North Eastern. Nowadays great northerns (not Great Northerns, and anyway there was only one, unless you mean Great Northern?s, of which there have been lots) are common loons.

OK? I'm glad we've had this little chat and I'm always happy to help you young fellows with your problems.
