Did you watch the work done when the impeller was changed?
When refitting the lower leg (the gearbox lives in there), the gear shift mechanism probably wasn't engaged right.
DIY: Remove the lower leg again and put it on the right way. If the remote box lever was moved while the leg was off, that most likely is the problem.
Also: If you want more top speed remove the whale-tail from the motor.
And remember to flush your trailer brakes after submerging them and keep an eye on the wheel bearings.

That's another mechanic to avoid then....Guys been out but wont fix someone else's work , he said gearbox is in neutral and selector rods not connected he said get them back out to connect it , but they are away for 2 weeks
