My Dad has had boats for years both in the UK and the Med, but has been out of it for the last 10 years, he wants to buy something heavy for extended cruising where you would cruise at 8 / 12 knots

He will have lots of time to kill, as he is now retired.

Any ideas.........?????????

He wants to sell up, so is looking at 60 feet upwards as he intends to live it it for weeks at a time, I was thinking of Fleming etc etc, but he likes the Dutch brands, any thoughts would be most welcome as he is going to start a serious search in a few months from now,
Many thanks

Hi guys,

And thank you, these are two cracking ideas can't wait to show him, I know he has been looking at Bandido which are a bit Nordhaven ish.

He is looking at Italy, and Med as a general crusing ground, based from the UK, need to make sure I like it as one day I hope to borrow it for a long time!

I am aware of Van der Valk, steel hull motor yachts, and simply stunning!

Not displacement, but well built and made to order. I work with the European dealer and they are lovely boats.
