It is ironic that the bigger the ship the more fragile they become in big seas compared to the tiny GRP boat that is almost indestructible. (not so the crew on the tiny boat of course. ol'will
 
Sad too that it could have probably been prevented. It is likely that the hull, deck and bulkheads had large cracks that could have been found and repaired before the final fatal voyage.
 
and apparently designed for river, protected waters only. also if you check where it anchored wasn't protected at all...
wonder what/where such a large ship would move about in the Black Sea tbh
