Motor Boat Chat, conclusions from recent feedback

Re: ooh yes a party

Yes, I thought so, but I tried. I might make it to the Hammersmith Scout hut, assuming expats are welcome! Isn't the LBS at the same time as 'arrod's sale? Might be an incentive for wifey to agree to trip in mid-winter. Liked your thoughts on business, management etc. Reminded me of work!

Byron

Thankfully not. All that dirty coal spoiling me scuppers. Since the taffys gave up digging for it, the quality's never been the same.

Nevertheless, the real thing is still at the entrance to the Crinnan - rather forlorn and unloved.

Stag goney...

No not quite, I managed to sell the TR7v8 so that has gone into my "new toy" fund for next year, a couple looked at the Stag but they think they want a manual - he was scared 'cos he's never driven an automatic - and the problem is what? Oh well. Still with half the garage clear I can at least do some things in it at last. Like get a Porsche 944!

Even got a call on the Jeep but they were offering silly money.

As always everything is for sale, but only at the right price <G>

Re: massive cosy corner tho...

Chris, we appreciate what we have and the good news is we don't think it is broken either. So, as per very first post here, no plans to change, or to hack off regulars, or to...well, you get the idea.

Like the party plan...we'll have a think about it and see if there's a way we can string something together for London or soon after.

Re: ooh yes a party

yes, perfect match I belive between egyptian corner shop sale and lbs. stay tuned...

Nuts!

The TR sale has paid for:- Two tanks of petrol for MVII and a hand held chart plotter for me. Apparantly SWMBO advise that some the the return is also to be used for QVC purschaing and new shoes, do boats have shoes?

ahh you mean Boat (or deck) shoes!

very topical as MBM has just done a 'test' on them and their recommendation is for a pair costing £130 so SWMBO will be over the moon - of course you've only got enough money left for one pair now so you'll have to stick with trainers ;-)

Re: Did I hear you say hh plotter?

Recomendations please - I think it's going to be a Garmin as the menus are the same as for my 12MAP... However might be better to spawn a new thread.

Re: hehe

ooh well the garmin 175 all proven etc. Anyway, he hasn't got a 12v socket so twill cost a fortune in bateries, well £1/hour.

Barry, I have gotta small plastic thing that you clip into that dehum so a pipe can be cnected insted of silly little plastic container. PM me an address. Remeber, it is a quasi-loan: the deal is that you HAVE to pass it on to sombody else who likes dehums if you can' t be bothered with it, or if too heavy and sinks boat. The other person who you give it to has to say ooh thanks, and not "yes, chuck it on that pile in bay 5 over there with the other scrap"
