Re: Moody Halberdier

hello i know this boat i was going to buy a moody halberdier as a livaboard for 2 aswell from what i have gathered they are a very solid well built boat and didnt find any thing bad about them there is a website moody halberdier owners that has just started and they have a forum thats really helpful there are quite a few for sale but the ones i have seen were not in very good condition and seem to be expensive for there age and condition compared with other boats i have done lots of research on them and found nothing bad said about them

Re: Moody Halberdier

Hi Suzie,

Forgive me please, but your posts would be much easier to read if you would split them into sentances with a little punctuaton.

Cheers Jerry

Re: Moody Halberdier

I'd take one anywhere, as long as the rigging and sails were up to it.

They have the hull shape and displacement to make them quite a comfortable boat. I was looking at one quite recently....could this be the very reasonably priced one on the US East coast?

Re: Moody Halberdier

hi ,sorry everyone if i have done such a bad thing it was my first post i have written to answer someones question.I was only trying to help i thought i was doing good.

Re: Moody Halberdier

Very solid old tub with good build quality that will look after you well. Like most boats of this type the one disadvantage is that they roll like a piggy at anchor. But so do lots of other monohulls !

Ho MH

Yep, spotted that after I posted!! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

SteveC, why is it rude? I posted in as gentle and apologetic way I could. I'd followed Suzie's posts on this and the other forum with much difficulty.

Do YOU not think a little extra punctuation would help us help her?

Cheers Jerry

Re: Moody Halberdier

hello jerry, i forgive you,

So you have seen my hundreds of posts LOL ,
Is this better to read,
I have to warn you i am not a good speller though so please do not point my spelling mistakes out.

Re: Moody Halberdier

Hi Suzie!!

That's excellent!! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif It's great to read your posts, so please keep them coming!!

Hope you manage to sort out a suitable boat, or at least a suitable broker(!!) soon! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Cheers Jerry

Re: Moody Halberdier

hi jerry

Thanks,

I have just got off the phone with the broker and found out he will sell the boat to me subject to brought as seen, Also he is not willing to fix any problems,
I said no way ,I have decided to go to the used boat show in september instead

survey..

Hi.... survey it yourself...just have a seriously judicitious look...and offer 60%...in view of sellers terms....if you really are interested....borrow a moisture meter....its not rocket science.............

Suzie,

you are doing fine. It's considered rude on this forum to make reference to anyone making spulling mistaks or comment on their punktuation (unless SOMEONE IS MISADVERTENTLY SHOUTING).

However, Steve, it really does help reading some of the long posts to have sentences and paragraph to break up the piece.

In this case, not only punctuation is missing, there are no CAPITAL letters to help either - so some one probably having a larf....
