mr. webmaster,

it don,t seem right that a large advertiser in your mag should dictate the coarse of events on this forum. I signed up here so i could get the unaldulterated facts from like minded folk. i could then use my own judgement to determin the facts.
you are making a mockery of a PUBLIC forum,,,,in my opinion.

Contrary to what you seem to think there is nothing PUBLIC about this forum other than that YBW chooses to allow members of the public to use their resources to exchange ideas and make friends.
Of course they have the right to protect themselves from potential law suits deriving from information published here which may be deemed libelous.
Kim, and YBW, deserve a heartfelt "attaboy" for the service they provide.
If any of us feel the need to vent our spleen via the internet there are any number of unmoderated forums on which to do so. I can assure you that they are considerably less civilized than any of the forums on YBW.
In opting for a moderated forum, where discussions are maintained on a more civilized level, we accept a degree of censorship. We rely on that censorship to maintain the civilized level of discussion we expect.
I, personally, was surprised that the discussion in question was allowed to progress to the point it did and can only commend Kim and YBW for their tolerance.

I think enough has been said on the subject for everyone to gain a flavor of the disputes involved. If anyone wishes to further vent their spleen there are inumerable internet discussion groups without moderators or any semblance of censorship on which to do it. I'd be happy to provide the newsgroup names.

The matters to which you refer have been more than answered in other threads in this forum. Therefore I am closing this thread.

I would sincerely invite you to review my comments elsewhere and also consider the fact that action of this nature is very rare on ybw.com forums, before accusing us of making a mockery of this area.

I would also like to emphasise that this action had nothing to do with advertising and everything to do with the laws to which we have to adhere. Unlike some popular opinion, the Internet is not an unregulated jungle and responsible sites such as ours, where contact details, terms and conditions, privacy policies and so on are accessible from each and every page, have to behave responsibly to all users.
