clearly the SWMBO (who likes to chuck you in) doesn't mind getting a little wet when you have a run shore from anchorage.

I'm glad it's not only me.
When I had my boat in Chichester I often used to go anchor off East head and go windsurfing.
Certainly a pain in the Ar5e rigging up on board!! I had to rig on the bow (the windiest part at anchor) but I got used to it. Had some fantastic days out there, and the girlfriend at the time didn't complain because she could sit inside in the heat and watch TV.

It's certainly a pain rigging up on board, cams keep jumping off the mast with all the movement, might change the sail for something easier to rig.
Same with my girlfriend, she was watching the grandprix downstairs.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to do that very cool bathing platform start as my davits were in the way. I had to make do with jumping off the bow, often a very spectacular Bomb followed buy a few words of french as the water got in the neck of my wetsuit.
