gents beware this one.
John
Re mobile, if you get a phone call and your phone displays ACE-? do not
accept the call, it will wipe all your IMEI and IMSI information from your
phone and from your sim card rendering both unusable and you will have to
get another phone, it cant be fixed.

Re Big spending saddos?

this one is urban myth. Making phonecalls costs money. No saddo is gonna pay to zap people he doesn't know. Puter viruses are different, becuase they spread at someone else's expense.

On the other had, if you get a call and it's the operator saying a Mr Ace would like to call you and reverse the charges, then praps hang up.... :)

Re: Re Big spending saddos?

Take your point but are you certain of this.

Easy to imagine circumstances where someone may think it worth the cost of a phone call.

From McAfee

ACE-? Mobile Phone HOAX

AVERT HOAX Notice!!

McAfee AVERT Labs would like to inform you of an email HOAX.

This email message is just a HOAX, currently we know of no call that the user will receive about the HOAX as the initial email states. AVERT has not received any report of a user's mobile phone being rendered unusable for receiving the call.

We are advising users who receive the email to delete it and DO NOT pass it on as this is how an email HOAX propagates.
