Mildew remover on fake teak - safe?

Bit of a case of the black mould on cockpit fake teak (DekKing). Is StarBrite mildew remover ok to use on this? Don’t want to bleach my deck!

Just use patio magic (OTHER BRANDS ARE AVAILABLE) and leave for a few weeks. We do this each season on the Flexiteak so don’t think you need mildew remover from star tire . If worried though just mail your Dekking contact ?

Will this not wash off with a mild detergent and water ?

I used patio magic on my DekKing this year and it worked a treat, came up really clean within a few days and stays that way

Just so happens I have some wet and forget I bought for the canopies - same stuff I believe as patiomagic, so I’ll give that a go.

Sprayed a bit of Starbrite about on the cockpit upholstery, more for prophylactic purposes, left it 1/2 hr then went wipe up wearing this baggy sweater .

Certainly effective @ “ BLEACHING “

Anybody else ruin decent clothes on there boat ?

Your jumper isn’t ruined, as all you have to do is paint some more Starbrite cleaner on each full cuff to have a nice ‘rusty’ contrast colour....you might even start a fashion trend lol!!! ??

Battery acid. Topping up a friend’s Ocean 42 with 8x235Ah batteries stuffed in some dark inaccessible corner of his engine room.

Funny thing about battery acidic, it doesn’t show until holes start mysteriously appearing in clothing a few days later!

I tried various products to get rid of mildew on the wood and fake
wood inside our boat and finally settled on Screwfix no nonsense grout cleaner! No bleach or acids and it's really effective.
