It's a long way off, but as Wiggo has kicked off the question, what are people's thoughts on another forum meet in March next year?

Same format as previous two years? Small changes? Significant changes?

For those that are new to the forums: we get together in March, stinkies and raggies. Previous 2 years over 30 boats and 120+ people. You can come by car or boat. Big marquee at Mercury Marina on Hamble. Hot sit down buffet, lots of drink and socialising, to start the season

Sounds good, if it so to be done that weekend that it usually falls on it suits me as I have an Old Boys Association meeting I have to attend so can mix the two.

Is there sponsorship needed. If it suits I may be able to help.

Dom - Think you'll find that there are a number of other sites that cater for'That kind of Thing', nevertheless agree that best to get it out of your system BEFORE attending Forum meet ( only joking !) -:)

This isn't about numbers, we know we can drum up support. Want to know if format stays the same, or make changes?

What can you change from drink, eat and drink some more?

maybe start at luchtime for drinks and buy a sandwich from the bar sort of thing - then play about until the BBQ. This year several of us hung about for a couple of hours waiting for summit to happen....which was a bit naff

The main lunchtime/afternoon activity has usually been a meet at Newtown Creek or similar as most people aim to come by boat.

Not sure what we could do for afternoon entertainment, unless we organise boat handling games as Wiggo suggested?

Format worked OK previously. Why change a winning formula (too much)??

Just making sure everyone IS happy with the format before we approach MDL to start negotiations

Some people suggested that a disco or band would be good - others when I suggested this were very anti any sort of music as it seems many people want to talk, and think that music would detract.

Just looking for feedback and ideas

No I think a string quartet would go down very well.
