Apparently he went for spin in the new toy, neglecting to connect the kill cord. He then floors the throttles in a turn and gets tipped out... boat carries on running, and accelerating until V1 is reached close to the shore. At V2, the boat rotates, the bow comes up and takeof is achieved. Smaller trees were demolished, but the substantial tree eventually brought the boat to a standstill. Lucky no one was killed..

No question about it though. The RYA examiner said he would have qualified for his Yachtmaster Airborn at his first attempt, if he'd only he had managed to stay in the boat for the duration of the exam! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif. Mike.
