Meeting at Fosdyke Marina, The Wash

I'd like to meet some other wash dwellers but unfortunately plans involve me being well inland that evening, will be coming out of kings lynn on the sunday hopefully heading for wells so if anyones about give me a wave.
Being a slow stinkie I'm praying for calm weather.

Thanks Dave, first meeting of the Wash section of the ECF was a great success.
Good beer, good food and good company after a day of mixed sailing.
I managed to sail for 10 hours to end up about 6 miles south of my mooring!

You have to email Dan and say 'pretty please' and he will change it for you. I am considering shedding the Alfie moniker...its outlived its usefulness.

Good to meet everybody last saturday.....and yes I did get a hangover on a pint and a half, I should give it up entirely really..it just gets worse. I'm in mourning today as...late in the day...I have only just heard that Parker Lift Keel Yachts ceased trading at the end of last month. Not that I was in the market for one, but losing a local quality yacht builder like them is a bloody shame.

I'll update with the pic's Max sent to me as soon as I'm online properly, lightning strike has killed a few things here so waiting for replacement router and maybe some BT men to do some re-wiring. Didn't have time to throw everything in the microwave, now on dodgy dial up.

Didn't know that, but there seem to be a whole load of new things to get my teeth into when I get back properly :D
I'll sort it out as soon as I can but new message posted for alternative contact method. Have to time anything I do to coincide with a connection at the moment but e.mail is the quickest method by far, apart from the old fashioned telephone of course :D

sorry i missed the meeting guys but as CPD said in his post,Santorini was a beautifull choice.

The sunsets are fantastic, the island is beautifull

on the downside, the beer ranged from 2 euros to 8.75 a pint and things like a twix at 2.20 E,a loaf of bread was 3.50e,a fiver for a cup of cofee was taking the P***

Id love to have sailed there though, the sea state was slight and the wind was blowing at a steady 15-20 knots except for yesterday when i estimate it was hitting 35knots.I sat with the missus on the Southern tip high up on the Cauldera watching a couple of yachts sail out of the Volcano bit, they left with full rags then dropped them down to ist reef and about ten wraps on the jib as they came past the head land and got hit.

the sea was nothing like the east coast, maybee its because of the 400m depth,it just did not seem to get higher than 2-3ft
