Med boaters - will you get to your boat this year?

^^^ How warm did the engine oil get ? :).

For the less cryptic thinking on here ( and there are a few ! ) It’s what Marc 1 Km if that from the marina entrance?

About 6km, and a lovely gentle potter at tick over. We're anchored in 12m, but could easily be in 20 or more. It's nice this time of year as there's not too much passing wash. Not very nice in the height of summer. Everyone's swimming, but as the water isn't 26c yet, I'm sitting it out

Bomb round the bay weather
 
Not such a wonderful return journey.
Palma airport not that bad.
The Ryanair check in/ bag drop hiding in a Gulag far corner of the dept. lounge. ....was at least well manned (girled actually) with plenty of staff on duty.
Absolute and utter chaos on boarding the plane. Much seat swapping . Eventually took off an hour late and of course missed our allocated slot.
The next slot should have entailed a 2.5 hour wait for a landing in Stanstead.
The pilot elected to go rather than wait and gave the plane some serious welly, we arrived over the coast of Blighty in less than 2 hours and then spent the next 45 mins enjoying aerial views of East Anglia.
After landingthe lack of border staff on duty was obvious with the resulting ques, daunting to say the least.

Rest of family followed a day later. Exactly the same chaos on seating with two hour departure delay this time.
On landing same problem with lack of staff on duty and 1 hour wait even to get through the family fast track gate.

As for the Stanstead "Meet and Greet" ....... Heres yer keys mate, the cars out there somewhere in row XYZ.

A bit more mud and a some cloud threatening to rain and this would be perfect, shame about all those boats, but you cannot have everything.

If your wondering which is OGs boat, its the in your face pink pedalo with the neat slide. Everyboat should have one. :)

When will Ryanair learn that their policy of deliberately placing people who reserved together at opposite ends of the plane is not a good idea.
Their website says random seat selection - it is anything but.

You can presumably solve that by just paying to chose your seats...

My good lady who is disabled was put next to a emergency exit and my 4 year old grandson was allocated a seat miles away from his parents.
Ryanairs flying with children rules were obeyed and proved pointless.
It must have cost them a fortune in lost time and fuel to screw those last few cents out of the self loading baggage.
The cabin staff were becoming increasingly agitated as the seat swapping went on.
If you are a "no mates" flyer, Ryanair probably makes commercial sense for both airline and passenger , for the rest of the known universe who actually travel with other people its an absolute shambles :)

How much was the ticket?
 
The government here tried to put the squeeze on Ryanair, despite warnings from our local airport saying that RA is vital to the local economy and that Mr Ryanair does not bluff, get intimidated or even negotiate...as a result RA has left our vicinity...now a plane trip starts with a very long car journey or very expensive taxi ride. When I used to pick up visitors I would wait until I saw the plane overhead before heading out to the airport...now I have to give up a day of my life...so...to all of those who still have Ryanair...cherish it...because you will surely miss it when it’s gone

If I remember correctly the "squeeze " was because Ryanair breached French labour law in employing local people in France on Irish contracts, they went to appeal and lost. It was a thin end of the wedge if they had succeeded they would have done it wherever they employed local people. Shysters with despicable employment practices yet people still use and worship them.
