Med boaters - will you get to your boat this year?

If I remember correctly the "squeeze " was because Ryanair breached French labour law in employing local people in France on Irish contracts, they went to appeal and lost. It was a thin end of the wedge if they had succeeded they would have done it wherever they employed local people. Shysters with despicable employment practices yet people still use and worship them.
It might have had something also to do with the tax being paid in Ireland at Irish corporation tax rates....but the reality was the government wanted to make room for the budget arm of Air France to blossom

How much was the ticket?

The actual ticket price or what we ended up paying at the checkout after 30 mins saying NO on their website....................two entirely different things with Ryanair :):):).
The entertainment in the departure lounge was watching those who had paid money for priority boarding standing in a que for about 45 mins while the the rest of us cheapskates remained comfortably seated in the boarding lounge.
The salt in the priority boarding con was those who had paid to get on first being pummeled and disturbed by the riff raff settling down with their carry on bags.
It also unfortunately meant they left just as late us and had further had the indignity of fighting it out with us oiks when we finally arrived and fought our way out of the aircraft.
Price .99p ? actually £288.18 for two poverty stricken OAPs or £150 each with single 20K case. between them .
We declined buying any smellys or fags, tiny little pots of crisps or raffle and lottery tickets on the flight.
The chap in the seat across the aisle sitting with his young lady purchased two bottles of Prosecco and two tiny bottles gin. He put the lot into his cup and then drank the lot.
Ps. Remember your going to need to go online to fill in a form to obtain a visa to be allowed into Spain after May 2022.

Exactly...paying BA prices gives you the right to complain...pay Ryanair prices then keep quiet and be grateful
I'm afraid that my experience with BA hasn't been good. But IMHO, Ryanair and Easyjet give good value for money.
I'm always concerned that any flight will be disappointing so it nice when things work out. In all, I actually prefer to use Ryanair over BA. Ryanair actually seem to care more than BA.
I have a Ryanair flight booked for Sunday night. £14.50 IIRC - That's hard to beat value.
Small observation. Ryanair landings. They are so hard that you KNOW the plane isn't going round again. You are definitely going to land.

Nope I checked when I came back from playing golf it was a breach of Labour law

I vowed not to fly with Ryanair but surrendered in September to take the family for a villa holiday in Tenerife. They only had 2 desks open and it took 2 hours to get to the restaurants which was too late for boarding. In October SWMBO and I went yo Cyprus with Jet2 and the difference was palpable. Plenty of desks open and I had printed our tickets on A5 which were apparently too small so they reprinted them on A4 for no extra cost. I can't think Ryanair would be so amenable. We got through to the restaurants 1 hour after leaving our back door.

It is, a liveaboard, nice people. It needs work lets say, but they are well built boats & they are doing some work on it. Used to be loads here but less every year, think they get moved to cheaper areas as they age.
Still a few here...but, as you say, they are entry level if you want a big boat...I think that they are already a classic and the design has integrity and is distinctive

I do like a boat with all the fenders put away (unlike me!)
Yeh it’s something, on the list of the must haves on the 2 nd mobo .
You don’t see it at boat shows - another taboo subject on a even bigger list sale folk gloss over .
