Med boaters - will you get to your boat this year?

First pic looks like Vells (we call it the 3 fingered bay).
If so, it looks like you were outside - was it busy or were you just keeping away from the weed police?
Is the second pic looking the other way?

It is indeed portals vells, but taken very much from inside, from very close into the nudist beach. Bith photos were taken from the same spot.

Its was pretty quiet in there

Don’t talk to me at the moment about Med boating…
….Just spent Sunday driving in continuous rain down to Troyes (stop 1 of the pretty route down to Spain) and checking the weather ahead looked like more of the same awful weather for the next few days.
So had a nice morning stroll around Troyes and headed back home. Bah! Humbug! A 36 hr wet driving holiday.

A little off topic. My boat was lifted and antifouled, anodes changed December last year. I was planning to get her lifted again in the next month or two but the yard (Denia) costs seem exhuberent (2500 euros just for the lift and af, everything else extra) so I'm wondering if it's really necessary right now, we will be moving the boat over Italy direction mid June so do you think my anodes will be ok until then. I'm pretty sure there is very little fouling so af should be fine. I'm used to keeping the old boat in the UK where I would pull her out end of every season for af and anodes...

What you need is your local friendly diver to check your anodes (and change if needed) and give the metalwork a clean.

Maybe very little fouling but anodes are something else. I’d get them changed but surely 2500 euros is about 5x over the top
If it included cost of lifts, prep and AF and relaunch €2500 does not seem too far out to me? It depends if it includes IVA and what AF and how many coats, anodes should not add a lot. The cost of not doing them may be regretted later if corrosion sets in. Colder waters and leaving the boat on berth will not see any significant erosion of AF over winter, I would bight the bullet and get it done if I were you! Prices could go up again in the interim

We have our boat in Denia and for the last 5 years for a Princess V45 we are paying almost exactly €2,500 including iva for the lift, block off, 2 weeks onshore yard storage, hull clean, prep, 2 coats antifoul (including the outdrives), relaunch. I think it is fair and pretty much the going rate in the area - probably cost way more if the boat was in Ibiza or Mallorca!!!

I had my 38" done in August in Torrevieja at the Intrnational Marina Boat Yard. I think it was 1400 euros, for lift, clean, stand for 4 days, 2 coats, anodes and velox on the metal bits. Give Costa Blanca Yacht Services a call.

I pay half that for a lift and antifoul (34 foot boat / hull and outdrives) just down the coast from you at Altea.
