Med boaters - will you get to your boat this year?

Hoping for better conditions at the end of September - hoping to cross - want to go to Ibiza but we will probably end up in Mallorca - easier access to marinas if the weather does get bad.
It's back to sun and light winds again now, just a passing squall

Thats my kind of place - where is it?
Southern Pelopennese. Big bay with Pylos on one side. This whole area is amazing. No hordes of Brits, seems to be where the wealthier families from Athens come down to or have their second homes. We almost never have neighbours. I have to say that I have been blown away. Oh and people are friendly and will drop everything to help you. Finally it is relatively inexpensive. Two Dorado, fresh prawns and what I think is white bait cost circa 15 Euro. I had to ask if she made a mistake. @vas no doubt will advise but I cannot recommend this more highly.

Here is our anchorage tonight at top of Gulf of Kalamata

Where are you keeping the boat at the moment when you are away

Lefkas Marina. Basically in this part of Greece you either go to Corfu or in or around Lefkada. Lefkas Marina is the best option IMHO and has a very good infrastructure. The guys who look after my boat are excellent and the boat comes out onto the dry for 3 months which I like. The major disadvantage is that in the winter you cannot get here direct from the U.K. ie Athens and then a drive but every place has a downside. Overall a massive thumbs up. The major advantage over Corfu is that the best cruising ground is south of Lefkada ie on your doorstep from Lefkas Marina. I know it’s different strokes for different folks but the variety of cruising is very varied, much more so than the Balearics where I was before. I would add that motoryachts are the exception to the norm, if you like marina life ie cruising between marinas this is not the place for you, so you have to love being on the hook most of the time. And the further south you go the more remote it gets and the quality of anchorages is outstanding.

Very interesting - thanks
I doubt that I could convince SWMBO though - she likes SCM too much.
But lots of food for thought!!
