Med boaters - will you get to your boat this year?

Just got back from our last lunch before heading back home.
We went up into the town in Sant Carles and had a really nice Spanish lunch - lots of wine etc.
On the way back, I took a few photos - some may find it interesting to see what Sant Carles looks like in the winter.
Note - wall to wall sunshine - just short of 20 degrees today.

Forgot about this thread .
Went down to mine a couple of week ends ago to check it all over .
Run up all the systems etc inc the engines .Ran them for 20;mins + geny and the AC inc the reverse air etc .Ran the taps , flushed the loos .Exercised all sea cocks .
I have a guardian who regularly cleans it and was immaculate btw .

Coolant temp was 8 * C at start .
Anyhow like last season nothing bust all works .I did flip the bilge pump switches all 4 of them they all worked .
Had a good look with a torch at the racor bowls before and critically after the engine runs .Clear .
I do add an additive in October before the lay up .

Just think it’s good to run stuff up occasionally.

That does wonders to keep it all working. We have a checklist with weekly, monthly items on (even stupid stuff like put the passarelle all the way through range of motion and back into the cassette), saves a lot of time and money come the spring.

Bugger, I am itching to get back out but have a cutlass bearing that needs fixing, thankfully no play in the shaft, but the rubber has delaminated and slipped out, new bearing on board, and lift out and local marine engineers (Tallers Cornet) all booked for next lift out in June :(?

what are you doing there ?
are you on tour in Belgian waters ?
this is 20km from my home,
despite having owned many trailable boats, never was in Hasselt with one of them.
Kanne, Maastricht and Liege is much nicer :)(y)
It's 30km from my home. I'm a bit further north in Hechtel-Eksel.
I'm a refugee from Scotland... 2016 and all that ... ?
I sold my last boat in 2008 before I came over to Belgium, regretting it madly now!
Maastricht is a beautiful place, go there quite often, we have friends that live and work there.
Kanne, we sailed past there in 2020 on a circuit round the canals, reminds me, have to go visit Eben Emael soon, wife and I have been trying to go for a few years now but something always interferes in our plans, last time it was shut so we went to Naarden in Holland instead :)

A good week in the Bay of St Tropez , dusting down the cobwebs and the boys finishing their PWB2 course with Christophe at Performance Adventure(Thank you) Unfortunately the alternator on the Mercury 225 has packed in , and is being replaced under warranty after only 14 hours (Thanks the team at Captain Nason in Cogolin for sorting out the logistics!), luckily the boat was still in the harbour and only required a short tow , and then some switching of the battery to limp back to the mooring.
More sun forecast next week
