When the boat is lifted up level to the quay you get off then it lifts out of the waterI take it you was not on the boat when they measured.
They will only add fenders width one side surly?11.18 x 3.94 meters
But they will add 20cm for the fenders…that could be the sting in the tail
While not exactly clear just yet…I assume it’s 20cm in total…this puts my boat over 4 meters… then I’m paying for a bigger space (although technically all the spaces on the quay are the same size..so I just don’t know)They will only add fenders width one side surly?
The bow roller is measured here
I added a cleat at end of my swim platform to tie up the dinghy when at anchor and they included it in the length…So you get the space your anchor itself occupies free! How generous.
In the UK the shift to pricing in metres rather than feet has effectively bumped up costs. A boat slightly over X metres length (which all my boats tend to be, for some reason) costs a lot extra than slightly over X feet. I must add a bowsprit or bathing platform to get my money's worth!
If they see the size of you they will add pontoon access fees. Best send the wife- Or the dogI think you people are missing the big picture....if the boat turns out to be slightly larger than anticipated...it could lead to higher berthing fees
That's standard practice in the majorca marinas I've kept boats in, the width of the boat plus fenders can't exceed the official width of the mooring, if it does you have to go up a mooring size. Interestingly where I am now allow your length to be up to 10% longer than the length of the mooringWhile not exactly clear just yet…I assume it’s 20cm in total…this puts my boat over 4 meters… then I’m paying for a bigger space (although technically all the spaces on the quay are the same size..so I just don’t know)
There also moorings for sale that are really long but so narrow that no modern boat will fitThat's standard practice in the majorca marinas I've kept boats in, the width of the boat plus fenders can't exceed the official width of the mooring, if it does you have to go up a mooring size. It’s never ending even when you think it hasIf spending money is problem do not buy a boat.
I thought only marina owners in Taiwan are vampires but now I know those French marina owners are also vampires......So if you think your boat is exactly ten meters long...it can come as a shock if you are 10.01 meters and now have to pay for a twelve meter boat. And width width might be even more sensitive
PorquerollesNice pictures Bouba. Where is it?
