Just got my bill for next season. I have changed size so I can't work out the increase on last year. Rates seem to be a secret now, any thoughts , PaulP and Co?
Thanks

Just got this years rates and it seemed to have gone up by over 25% nearly dropped corkleged, then realised that the VAT was added now, never done this before it was always added afterwards cant work out why they changed it............. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif there must be a reason?????????????but not one I can work out.
The price rise was 10% and it was 10% last year, do you think they know something about inflation that we dont?

Mine at Premier seem to rise annually at rough RPI - I think it was 3.7% of 2005 (march05/march06) .

The cost is expensive but I do not have an issue with reasonable increases provide I like what I am buying. On the whole I am v. happy with Premier....

Mine hasn't gone up at all this year which is just as well since it increased by 10% last year and I could easily have used that extra £46.80 over the year on beer tokens. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The thing that ge's me is the need to pay in early March for a service that starts on 1st April.

Additionally this 'pay by' date gets a day or two earlier every year; I think this year is 12th March ?

Work out the interest on the income over however many marinas they have...outrageous; I'm tempted to pay them on 31st March, doubtless it would take them until then to chase me anyway

Phil, haven't had mine yet, await with interest, however have had invoice for the JetSki dock we put at the end of the mooring, wait for it, Oct - Mar .............£1000, cracking business if you can get it. Love the Marina though so stuck with it I suppose. Is there a bertholders committee? Should there be?? As I recall there is a per metre charge posted in the office, should you ask Bill for a copy?? That's disappointing - I've always enjoyed sitting outside the bar at Hamble Point gazing at your lovely litle ship. Was almost drawn to offer to assist the girl who was cleaning it, when I was last there /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I've also changed size but it seems to be a whole lot more at Shamrock Quay too.

I don't like it, but thats supply and demand for you.

We looked at moving over to Gosport but the traffic put us off - it was a nightmare even in the middle of a weekday!

Phil,
Ours has gone up 4.2% , was £440.22 /metre 2004 is now £458.65 /metre 2005 for what is now 17.5 metre berth. (F43 @ 13.5mtr = Jet Dock @ 3.7mtr), hope this helps.

Great to hear that you are coming to Royal Clarence. We've been there for a couple of years now; it's a great spot. Folks have referred to the traffic being bad news - well it is unless you plan it. I NEVER commute down the A32 at commuter time. Luckily I'm not regulated by office hours (as I have only myself as my boss) so it's really no problem. I'll make myself known to you when you arrive.
