Lisa, download the little app I posted earlier. It'll tell you the signal to noise ratio you're getting which will give you a clue whether it's that big boat screwing up the signal to your berth or its sods law and it's actually an over subscribed service further into the providers network either at the marina itself or further into their core infrastructure e.g. It may have nothing to do with the marina at all and could be they have an overloaded pop affecting several customers routing through it

You mean that 'inSSIDER' thing Gary? I'll do that when I'm next down (just got home) but I'm pretty sure it's the big boat that's the problem. Completely uninterrupted streaming all the while they were away.
I'm assuming line of sight to the wifi pole thingy is key here? The Pearl would bugger that for sure.

If that's the case the. It must be the big Grand Banks that stops my signal as the pole is about half way down A pontoon and I'm nearly at the end.

How about we get them to put all the big boys together Lisa I bet you would like that.

When I read the original title for this thread I was a little surprised as we are based at Hamble Point MDL and get a reasonable signal most of the time and a quick speed. However, we are visiting Cobbs Quay at the moment and the speed is sloooowwww. There is a great signal even near the end of long pontoons, but trying to do anything is frustrating. Click a button and wait a minute or more before anything happens. The problem seems to be with the speed of the marina main broadband connection.
