You have been faffing about trying to find reasons not to buy. So for you it is not worth you bothering. Find a different dream of something that you can achieve. Alternatively get of your rear end & buy a boat.

Speaking for myself, the money I spend on sailing is absolutely worth every penny. If were not, then I would not bother.
. But so is the money I spend crashing model planes at £350 per time . But I intend to enjoy life while I can. I spent too long working for it not to.
Oh done my fair share of buying boats I know only to wellthe horrors of buying the wrong boat so content to put boat buying on back burner to attend too more urgent matters.

What on earth could be more urgent than making sure one had a boat & could go sailing
Priorities man, priorities;)
Killer whale paranoia,The best boat and at a good price is in Cadiz but it’s at the wrong end of the year and right in the centreof orca activity.Still under consideration as have not phoned the owner yet?

Ah, but the catch is in those three little words, "could go sailing". Easy to buy a boat, especially on a budget, then find one's spending all one's time and far too much money getting it seaworthy.
Well do not buy a load of carp then. I would have thought that pretty obvious. Plus Wandsworth has, in the past, claimed that he can afford a boat. But if he is talking about a load of junk.........
