Hi, firstly I hope this is in the right section of the forum. If not then please feel free to move.

My wife and I are currently in Lanzarote but unfortunately return home later today. We have always had a dream of owning a boat out here and hopefully one day soon that will happen.
Knowing that Chris (Capnsensible) lives out here I contacted him and asked him if he knew of anything available in Lanzarote, unfortunately there was not but he told me to get in contact with him when we arrived and we can discuss boat ownership in Lanzarote.

Chris has been a great help and so has his wife (Mandy) he even took us out on a boat which was a great experience and an even greater surprise. He walked us around the marina showing us what would be suitable and what wouldn’t.

I just wanted to say thanks mate for everything you have done and helped us with whilst we’ve been out here , we asked so many newbie questions but nothing was too much trouble.

I enjoyed our lunch in Rubicon and it was great to meet your wife who was also a wealth of knowledge. Unfortunately lunch and a beer turned into getting home at 10;30pm and having one last rum and whisky for the road about 5 times! 😂

We wanted to thank you both very much and all being well we can do something similar in January.👍

Thanks for that, I 've certainly seen those around in Spain. I didnt appreciate there was a rum producer in the Canaries. Interesting that it is a cane rum, or 'agricole', as Madeiran rums also are. A very different taste to the molasses based product, especially in the younger bottlings.
If you are ever in Las Palmas, it's a short taxi ride to the factory. There are tours around the distillery at frequent intervals. 7 euros each that includes some fairly heavy tasting of the different types at the end!
