Its the diodes( or at least one of them) in the alternator dirt cheap to get and replace.

Dont forget the capacitor. If it goes down you have to replace it and flash charge to excite the windings for start up.

I've got a Mase IS 3500 that was operating perfectly until I took the cover off and changed the raw water impeller. It's a tight fit so its possible I knocked something awry but I can't find anything loose. The control panel has a couple of dash marks on it and they stay lit all the time. None of the three buttons on the control panel have any effect. Any ideas what could be the trouble? I think it's very coincidental that the thing quit working at the same time I took the cover off and fixed the water pump.
Thanks.
