hi there i have a mariner 40m serial number 6E9 S 007595
can anyone tell me the age
what does the S stand for is it standard shaft?
how do i find out what the colour of the paint is ?

From the official lists

1985 models start at 6E9-005896

1987 models start at 6E9-008441

There is no entry for 1986

So either 1985 or 1986, I'd guess the latter

Sorry cannot help with the S. Probably as you suspect a short shaft model but is it a short shaft (15"). Long shaft will be 20"
